A Small Ball That Opened a New Dream

Together with the children who used to play on the dirt ground of Kampot, Cambodia, the Daniel Kkumnamu (Dream Tree) soccer team was born.

At first it began as a small gathering, kicking a ball with the children using donated soccer gear and balls.

Now about thirty children train twice a week under the guidance of two coaches and grow their skills through practice matches.

What we look at is not only their soccer ability.

A single small ball opened a new dream in the children’s lives.

As they train together and encourage one another, they discover that there is a future for them too.

A meeting that began with one small ball is becoming a new hope for the children and the community.
