From a Small Beginning to New Hope

In August 2023, the year Palawan Senior High School was established, we launched a soccer team by placing a logo on 17 shirts.

That small beginning led to a victory in the Palawan Governor’s Cup at the end of that year, and the news of that victory continues to this day.

Prayer letters written with each student’s name, and soccer shoes prepared to fit each child’s feet, were also delivered to them.

Looking at the photos from 2023 and 2025 together, we can only give thanks for how much the children have been changed into confident and honored young men.

For families in Palawan who found it hard to dream of a future, the children’s victory became the first opportunity to think about the days ahead.

They begin to dream of attending college, to think of a future of trying out for a professional club, and even to hold on to the dream of one day playing on a larger stage.

God’s plan is deeper and wider than we can imagine.
